Metalwork

Whilst less Cotswolds dominated in comparison, we own a number of striking pieces. These are associated with:

The broad Cotswold School (1); the Chipping Campden School (2); the Birmingham Guild of Handicraft (3 & 4); and the Guild of Handicraft (5). The Cotswold School cast lead rope work well head garden container, indicates in its distinctive use of animal, bird and snail motifs, a strong resemblance to cast lead work and plasterwork designed by Gimson and used on Cotswolds arts & crafts buildings of the 1890-1930 period.
